Although I didn’t list any new year’s resolution before 2016 began, just like anybody else, I had thoughts of improving myself this year. Some thoughts came in my mind that have been disturbing me constantly. Thoughts of setting new goals, achieving great things and trying out new things. But it came to the point that those thoughts are not really helping me in anyway but are distraction that would lead me nowhere — farther from my real goals.
My real goals this year are not to gain more but to regain myself — to be who I used to be but better person.
Here are the things I want to regain:
- Peace of mind
To regain these, I believe that I have to focus on these and set aside other plans that are not really important at the moment.
There’s this inner voice that kept on telling me that I had to do these plans now. These have been my plans and I wanted to try all these very soon. As I keep all these thoughts run in my mind and the more I try to accomplish all at the same time, the more I get confused and overwhelmed, and the lesser productive I become.
I don’t find now as the right time for these. So, I decided to set aside these plans for now so I can focus on improving myself by working on strengthening my faith in God, regaining the confidence I lost, getting back in shape, having total peace of mind and be productive in what are important at the moment.
So, these are the plans I’m setting aside:
- Setting up my Dietitian’s website
- Managing multiple Facebook groups/pages
- Publishing e-books
- Hosting a webinar
- Expanding my services
- Blogging biweekly
- Hosting a giveaway
- Weekly newsletter
- Buying design/photography gadgets
- Developing themes
I am not closing doors to these this year. I may still do any of these later this year, but I’m focusing on the things I want to regain for now, mostly myself.
I need to regain myself first to do these, without fixing myself I will not be able to perform well and to accomplish anything. To explore more, I need a whole me who isn’t broken and disturbed.
Do you have any plans you need to set aside to be better in 2016? Let me know those.
