It’s been my blogging tradition to post life lessons/grateful posts every year on my birthday. But this year I’m doing this quite delayed because I was on a blog hiatus since 2017 happened. This year has been a difficult year for me but I’m thankful for the deep and great lessons I learned surviving each day. I’m listing life lessons I learned in the year of 2017!

  1. Life challenges make us unleash the strength and abilities hidden in us.
  2. Sometimes we need to disconnect from the digital world to connect more to things that matter.
  3. When things you planned don’t happen it is because God has prepared something better that you deserve.
  4. Trust the process even it seems blurry or uncertain. Trust.
  5. You don’t have to change yourself to belong. You can make friends or engage with everyone but make them aware of your limits. True friends will respect limits you set for yourself. On the other hand, respect them as well, respect their beliefs, limits and emotions.
  6. If you think someone or something just bring unhealthy and stressful energy to you, then let it go.
  7. Health is wealth. I failed at making myself healthy in 2017, it even got worse. I’m committing myself to a road to fitness for myself!
  8. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s okay to admit you’re struggling, and that you need help.
  9. Admit your faults and learn how to say sorry. It’s good for your soul.
  10. Seeks out for constructive criticism and ignore projected criticism.
  11. I learn from living alone that less is more. Minimalism in my place, and life, make me stress less. Throw away papers you won’t read anymore, empty ball pens, and old notebooks, also learn to donate, donate, donate! Give away clothes you don’t wear, stuff you don’t use. Donate your stuff to those who will benefit more than to keep those in your place useless.
  12. If you don’t have idea about something, ask questions not judge. Learn to think before speaking out.
  13. Give yourself chances.
  14. Grab opportunities that will help you make connections. You need to make connections to help each other and work together as a team toward a common goal.
  15. The only constant thing in this world is CHANGE.
  16. Move on after every failure but don’t forget about it use it as a fuel to do better next time.
  17. It’s okay not to know everything. Enjoy the process of learning.
  18. It’s okay not to be the best. Enjoy the process of becoming better each day.
  19. Don’t focus too much on the outcome, there’s life during the process so enjoy it.
  20. Wait. Better days will come.
  21. If you don’t see any opportunity knocking your door, make it yourself.
  22. Even when you feel like the universe want you to quit, don’t quit. It is just testing you if you are really passionate about what you do.
  23. Always keep yourself connected to God.
