5 Things You Don’t Need To Start Blogging
You don’t need to follow rules
In blogging world, you have the full control, and the choice. You are your own boss. You can blog about anything. You can run your blog in any way you want. You don’t need to follow rules because there is no rules. You make your rules. Everyone is allowed to start a blog, manage it and use it to convey a message to the world. So, use that opportunity to be heard.
You don’t need to be a professional writer
You can be the worst one in grammar and it doesn’t matter. You can put your own thoughts in your own way. You can write using your native language or your own made up dialect. There will always be someone out there who will understand every single thing you write. If you really hate writing long paragraphs, you can still convey your message by supplementing your articles with photos, videos or podcast.
You don’t need to spend a dime
Seriously speaking, even though I love self-hosted WordPress and I promote it in any way I can, I still do recommend that newbies must start using any of the free platforms. You should not spend a dime when you are a newbie and just about to explore the world of blogging. You can use Blogger, Tumblr and WordPress to start blogging. As you explore the world of blogging, you would know if it’s already the right time to level up your blogging experience.
You don’t need to be extrovert
Based on my observation, most of the bloggers I know are introvert ones and in most cases they are the ones who are making it good into blogging world, and they have chosen this kind of means to convey their message. I have asked friends to try blogging, yet their initial reactions were like, “I really wanted to try, but I’m not like you, who are confident and sociable” I don’t have both the confidence and social skills when I started blogging. In fact, It was the reason why I started blogging. I wanted to be heard but I didn’t have the confidence because I was young back then. The truth is you don’t need to be extrovert to start blogging. No way it is necessary. So for those who are shy to speak up and raise their voices through public speaking and interactive activities, blogging could be the right means for you to be heard.
You don’t need to have a niche
When I started blogging, I blogged about anything that pops into my mind. I blogged about the craziest nag I had with my friends and the embarrassing stories I had as a student. It’s not necessary to know what niche you want to have in your blog, because finding your niche is actually discovered as you get along blogging. You discover it as you encounter more things about blogging and meet other bloggers. I recommend having a niche later on in your blogging experience and not a prerequisite. So, for now if you want to start blogging, just create an account. You can choose from Blogger, WordPress or Tumblr and type those thoughts you have in your mind at the moment.
I am very excited to know newbie bloggers. For those who have just started bogging and and those who have plans to start a blog, leave your comments below about anything you want to know about starting a blog. I’d love to discuss it with you.
